[00:00:00] Scott Hinnant: Bring the conviction on in. So. So. Ha! You did it. We threw crushed crackers. You are? You just stole my knife. That's dirty. I'm trying to slow down. Oh my gosh.

[00:00:16] Scott Hinnant: Can I have that piece? Yes, you can. Look, you can see the crackers in it. So, we didn't have any flour or anything, so we took crackers and just crushed them up and put some hot sauce in it and uh, Cholula by the way. I love Cholula hot sauce. But anyway, and some scotch bonnet made from Smittys Beard Sauce BBQ.

[00:00:37] Scott Hinnant: Oh my gosh. Man down. It must be good. We didn't have, so we improvised, and I'm going to tell you, that's the life. After the most amazing hunt we've ever been on, we, uh, we improvised and Oh my goodness. Let me try a little, let me try a little something on that.[00:01:00]

[00:01:03] Scott Hinnant: Ain't too bad. That's insane. That's fantastic. I think it's good to improvise. Put that on a sandwich, son. Yeah. One of them Uh, oh cool buns you got. I don't know what they're called. I hurt my hand. That's phenomenal. Look at the crust it made on the outside. Reminds me of a crab cake. I know but with deer meat in the middle.

[00:01:30] Scott Hinnant: Oh and Smittys Beard Sauce barbecue on it. Oh it's so good. I don't even know what to say. I'm gonna be straight up that's good. We, not even because we're on camera now. We did it. We did it. Hug that crunch. Oh. I'm, Amber's watching this and I'm sorry, Amber. I'm not. Mmm. Oh.

[00:01:53] Scott Hinnant: Golly, guys. Alright,

[00:01:55] Reese Richards: so. Yesterday, I, I, I actually was like, [00:02:00] hey, if we don't have any breadcrumbs, we can just crush

[00:02:01] Scott Hinnant: up them, uh, Crackles? Them crackers. When we thought

[00:02:05] Reese Richards: about it, we were like, how is it gonna stick? We don't got milk. We don't got eggs. When, when the wife comes, she kind of keeps us on point.

[00:02:13] Reese Richards: She'll bring eggs, milk. I mean, we have everything we need for three or four weeks. Mmm. When guys come, we bring Debbie cakes. We bring, you know, deer or turkey or whatever we got. Bro, that's fine.

[00:02:26] Scott Hinnant: It's

[00:02:26] Reese Richards: crazy good. I ain't

[00:02:29] Scott Hinnant: even, I mean, that's wild good. We may have to call our buddy Smitty and say, Look, you need to put your scotch bonnet up in some crackers and throw it on some deer meat cubs.

[00:02:38] Scott Hinnant: That's insane. It's so tender. Alright, we're gonna do a podcast

[00:02:43] Reese Richards: here. Once we're done, make a fire. Amber just said I could stay another day. Cause we found this spot.

[00:02:52] Scott Hinnant: It has to happen. This spot is uh, Special.

[00:02:56] Reese Richards: It's gonna be special, Scott and I. At least me. [00:03:00] Cause the way we found it was accidental. If that creek wasn't

[00:03:03] Reese Richards: high, we

[00:03:05] Reese Richards: wouldn't have went over that ridge.

[00:03:06] Reese Richards: Next thing you know there's a dry creek there. Well, wet is dry. From the most shark's teeth we've ever found in a short amount of time, me, and that tree. I'm gonna have Jase hunt it. For show. It's like, kinda

[00:03:19] Scott Hinnant: like crab cake. hunting is an adventure. Yeah. It really is. And sometimes people forget. Sometimes when you get out of the adventure mode, you kind of get bored with it in a sense, but.

[00:03:31] Scott Hinnant: Yeah. Sitting in the same

[00:03:34] Reese Richards: tree stand. I mean, yesterday we sat an all day sit, but minus an hour, hour and a half. And I don't know, man, when you see one doe in that amount of time, it makes you want to just go explore. A hundred and something acres with a bunch of creeks and a bunch of hardwoods and a bunch of.

[00:03:51] Reese Richards: bedding areas and oak trees. I mean, why wouldn't you want to explore that?

[00:03:56] Scott Hinnant: I think, like, we're like everybody else in [00:04:00] the sense that, yeah, we'd love to kill the most massive, beautiful buck, right? Yeah. But, like, it's not at the top of my list. I want to. Every time I go sit and stand, I'm hoping for that.

[00:04:13] Scott Hinnant: Yeah, that'd be cool, right? But, more than that, I'm hoping for that experience. And, today, we got to go, you know, and, and, and, Kind of just go way back. We didn't have lock on set up. We didn't have climber stands. We didn't have Cameras set up. We knew nothing about where we were going other than the history of me walking down through there turkey hunting I'm, like, hey, let's go hunt the creek It's been real dry up here.

[00:04:36] Scott Hinnant: So these bucks are going to be looking for water, right? Creek was a little higher than normal. So it ended up leading us somewhere that we weren't planning on going found this massive tree that was growing straight out of the bank that was Literally When you go to the base of the tree, you're on dry ground.

[00:04:53] Scott Hinnant: You walk 10 yards out this tree and you're 40 feet above the creek. Like, it's like, and you'll see it. We'll show you that. It's the most cool [00:05:00] thing. But then it just happened to be, but luck, but a massive trail coming down right there and we could see the trail. And we got down there and looked at the trail, got down in the creek, found some sharks teeth.

[00:05:11] Scott Hinnant: Heck, I didn't think it was going to deer hunt for a minute. We were finding some of these sharks teeth and it was great. It's just the experience of it. And, um, Yeah, got up in the stand at what, 5, 515? 515, yeah. Got up in the slanted tree. Which is, you know, pretty late, but Not the stand. Right at dark, Big old doe comes tipping down through there, and it's just, I'm telling him, man, we can come back tomorrow.

[00:05:34] Scott Hinnant: And I just feel really good about the, I really, I really do. I feel like if we get back there at daylight, And get in that stand we're gonna see a good buck come through there I just got the feeling there was big buck tracks in the creek I mean we can see the we can see plenty of tracks in the creek of good heavy deer big wide tracks So it and we don't have trail cameras down there.

[00:05:52] Scott Hinnant: We don't know what's coming through there. Don't have a clue That's the first time you saw that spot that area. I mean not in my life, but the first time I ever thought about [00:06:00] remember Yeah, yeah So well, I've seen it before but I've never thought about hey Let's walk out on that tree and make a stand out of

[00:06:06] Reese Richards: it If you're listening On the bearded outdoors podcast Go over to seek and find tv on youtube And you will find this video podcast.

[00:06:15] Reese Richards: Yes We'll also post it on carbon tv. If you guys don't have the app go to carbon tv on your app store or android device Youtube seek and find tv conviction outdoors bearded outdoors

[00:06:27] Scott Hinnant: Um, that's so good But yeah,

[00:06:30] Reese Richards: this whole week has been it's

[00:06:32] Scott Hinnant: been pretty solid We've seen a lot of deer man. We just hadn't seen those mature deer But, um, tonight, Big Doe, and we weren't there, what, 30 minutes up in that tree?

[00:06:45] Reese Richards: Granted, we got in the tree at 530, it gets dark

[00:06:47] at 630, but

[00:06:48] Scott Hinnant: Well, the last time we went on the creek, we were looking at, we get to explore, and that's just kind of how we are. Maybe you can relate, maybe not. Maybe you want to be, you know, hunt a little bit different than [00:07:00] we do, that's fine. I mean, everybody's way is perfect, in my opinion.

[00:07:02] Scott Hinnant: When you hunt, you enjoy what you do. If it's legal, it's legal. I mean, it's just enjoy it. But our way, I think me and Reese are kind of a lot a like. We don't, we don't sit in the stand for hours on end because we can't, we literally run, we run, our mind will go insane. So. We're explorers and we like to get down

[00:07:22] Reese Richards: and we're literally thinking about the next sit.

[00:07:24] Reese Richards: Right. So we're in there like, okay If we don't kill a buck tonight, so what do we do? Like we're already thinking.

[00:07:28] Scott Hinnant: I've always been an explorer So when I get down or something and I'm walking out and I find those creek and you know Get down in there the creek and find sharks teeth and whatever It's like it's just it's just it's interesting and it keeps you it keeps me occupied.

[00:07:41] Reese Richards: Yeah The words are it's hard to come up

[00:07:43] Scott Hinnant: with the words on this because it is it's fun I'm tell you that and it's a different kind of hunter For sure. Not only that, I really do believe that if we're going to kill a mature deer, it's going to be down there on the creek. Just the way everything's setting up, you got, you got no rut going on, you got deer just now starting to run and make a few scrapes.[00:08:00]

[00:08:00] Scott Hinnant: Tons of acorns over here. Well, we've probably got 160 acres. Uh, it was clear cut a few years ago, so now it's a big thicket. It's a bedding area.

[00:08:09] Reese Richards: It's a bedding area. This bedding area is literally on the creek. So, I mean, You're not having these deer aren't gonna slip by like they have to come across that creek to get water And then to get up in that heart.

[00:08:20] Scott Hinnant: So right now It seems like most of the mature bucks that are bedding up in this big thicket are not getting to my place and feeding on acorns until night This is dark. I mean every every picture i've got of a mature buck's been at night doesn't mean there's not something coming through during the day but You don't know unless you get out of there.

[00:08:36] Scott Hinnant: That's right but I do think that if we get down and there's one thing I know that deer can uh They can suffer for a little bit of food, but they don't have water. That's a fact. So if you can get around water and it's been super dry up here, , Mississippi has in general has been dry, but, , it's been really dry up here in this year.

[00:08:55] Scott Hinnant: And so we're around water. I feel like we got a heavy trail. We got a great, [00:09:00] a great chance, uh, in the morning to go and, and, and possibly see a good mature deer, and that's all we're looking for, to be honest with you. I mean, Would we love a 160 to come through there? Oh, absolutely, but if a 120 walks through, and he's, and he's mature,

[00:09:16] Reese Richards: You know, mature doe, too, like, you have to think, Okay, so I told Scott tonight, I said, You know, if we were in a normal stand, Would my mind think about shooting that doe?

[00:09:29] Reese Richards: And no, we've, we've been set on killing a mature buck. But that stand, that, that tree, I need to quit calling it a stand. It's just, that situation is just, it's almost like any kind of harvest from that tree and how we're set up and where it is. It's too cool of a story. It's very cool, and we want, we want to show y'all that, like, that experience on top of a harvest, I think would be absolutely epic for y'all to see.

[00:09:53] Scott Hinnant: I think you summed it up too, like, hunting is about the story. Yeah. We make it all about the story.[00:10:00]

[00:10:02] Scott Hinnant: It's about the story. Yeah. Oh!

[00:10:05] Reese Richards: Hey, what's this? I'm sorry. I've never told anybody about this yet.

[00:10:11] Scott Hinnant: Give me my, my beard butter. What is that? That's my, don't. So. That's my beard butter.

[00:10:17] Reese Richards: This is something, if y'all are listening on the podcast, you can't see. But, go to SeekandFindTV.

[00:10:22] Scott Hinnant: Vanilla.

[00:10:24] Reese Richards: This is a new product we haven't released yet.

[00:10:27] Reese Richards: We've been testing it a lot. This is a mixture between oil and balm, minus the beeswax.

[00:10:36] Reese Richards: It is beard butter.

[00:10:38] Scott Hinnant: Make your face smooth. Now, make you look ten years younger. What's wild is Still ugly, but ten years younger.

[00:10:44] Reese Richards: We put it on our beards, right? But this also stays in a pack. This also, like, when it's cool like this, I'm not used to cool weather. Chapstick. Chapstick, uh, dry hands, any of that stuff.

[00:10:59] Reese Richards: [00:11:00] Scott will put it in his beard, he grabs his hands, rubs it on his pants, gets the, you know, it's not really

[00:11:05] Scott Hinnant: greasy, but We have not had a deer smell us yet, in straight down wind. The three hunts we had deer straight down wind of us? Yeah. Not smell us yet.

[00:11:12] Reese Richards: So, this is a new product , from Bearded Outdoors that we're creating right now.

[00:11:16] Reese Richards: That's probably because I don't stink. We've already created the labels, it also, it's going to be a Mossy Oak line. We're gonna throw some Bottomland on these. And, uh This butter is you gonna call it Scott's butter? We can make one call Scott's butter. I will tell you one

[00:11:33] Scott Hinnant: scent don't smell like rattlesnakes.

[00:11:36] Scott Hinnant: Ooh, that's another one. That's Scott's butter. Um, rattlesnakes, skeet.

[00:11:40] Reese Richards: So all the moss scents that we have, or deer approved scents are gonna be in butter, I believe Amber wants to also make the other scents in butter too, because sir,

[00:11:49] Scott Hinnant: I'm gonna get some more of that. Butter's pretty awesome, pretty good up there.

[00:11:52] Scott Hinnant: This, there ain't no more. No. How many pieces did you eat? I gave you

[00:11:58] Reese Richards: three, I ate two.

[00:11:59] Scott Hinnant: I ate [00:12:00] two! Uh uh. A lie? Reese, you just lied. I wouldn't eat it all. Here you go. Go ahead. I got some stew warmed up back there. That's true. I'm gonna throw in some stew. But I can't believe, we just ate that whole pan of fried, didn't we?

[00:12:14] Scott Hinnant: And I'm not full. If you like barbecue sauce, trust me when I tell you, and I'm dead serious. Snatch it out. Smittys Beard Sauce. He's a veteran. Him and his wife, they're amazing people. We met them at the, uh, NWTF this year, this past year. Came up and did a little turkey hunting with us. I hope we get them, uh, back in deer season.

[00:12:33] Scott Hinnant: But their, their barbecue sauce, it is unreal. They got several different, obviously, flavors of whatever barbecue sauce. That's my favorite. It's called scotch bonnet. It's a little, it's a little fiery. It's a little fiery.

[00:12:47] Reese Richards: It's only been in here for about, it's fiery, maybe four hunts

[00:12:51] Scott Hinnant: and it's gone. I'm telling you.

[00:12:53] Scott Hinnant: Yeah, this one's real good. So if you're a barbecue fan, try it out. At least try it out.

[00:12:59] Reese Richards: We [00:13:00] had Gage out this evening. Had an old boy out. That's his younger, younger son. I always thought

[00:13:05] Scott Hinnant: it was a raccoon. Oh, it is? A raccoon. But he's gonna come back in the morning.

[00:13:10] Reese Richards: He's playing college baseball So he hasn't been able to hunt with him or anything in a few years.

[00:13:15] Scott Hinnant: Did you see him when he took his shirt? He looked like

[00:13:18] Reese Richards: Arnold Schwarzenegger. He took that shirt off over there and he walked outside and walked back

[00:13:23] Scott Hinnant: in He's going to big. I was like, hey, you're gonna be careful. Yes, sir. I'll be back

[00:13:30] Reese Richards: His back looks like a freaking like lucky man, he has that he has that what they call it aesthetic. Yeah, he uh, he's different Yeah, he, when I was an athlete, I was just skinny and tall. That's, that's why I was good. I'm athlete right now. Look, I mean, that right there that was ripped out. Scott is kind of, he had, it's like a jelly roll.

[00:13:49] Reese Richards: I don't, I mean, Scott does go to gym.

[00:13:51] Scott Hinnant: I don't go to gym. I go to gym to save people. That's it. .

[00:13:55] Reese Richards: Yeah, that's

[00:13:56] Reese Richards: true.

[00:13:57] Reese Richards: But, uh, we found, [00:14:00] man, I wanted to count those before this podcast. I mean, I'm talking Stay right there. Get a handful of them. I see you. So we look for shark's teeth anytime we come across that creek.

[00:14:12] Reese Richards: Now granted, we're in North Mississippi. If you don't know where West Point is, look on the map at West Point, Mississippi. We have a little creek running through our property and we find shark's teeth in it. So think of that when you think of the flood. Think of that when you don't, don't believe in God. The cabin sits about 90 feet above the river.

[00:14:38] Reese Richards: These creeks are way above that river. These creeks are probably eye level with the cabin. How do sharks get up into those creeks? They need salt water, right? Think about that. Scott's in the middle of counting. I don't know how. Where you at now? Golly. He's at [00:15:00] 80. 25 minutes we look. We hit the Mecca. We're gonna bring the kids back there.

[00:15:06] Reese Richards: Anybody we bring here, we need to mark that on onX. We're gonna, we have to take them there. Uh,

[00:15:12] Scott Hinnant: a hundred even. Shut up. Dead on a hundred. Oh my

[00:15:18] Reese Richards: gosh. I literally just counted dead on a hundred. No joke, it was like, you move some sand, it was like boom, boom, boom, boom.

[00:15:24] Scott Hinnant: If we had another hour,

[00:15:24] Reese Richards: it'd be 250 sitting there.

[00:15:26] Reese Richards: I mean these, these big ones we have. Seven or eight.

[00:15:30] Scott Hinnant: Bro, you can make a necklace out of those. Man, I mean these are

[00:15:35] Reese Richards: These are like if you find these in Florida, these are solid.

[00:15:40] Scott Hinnant: Here you go. So look at that.

[00:15:44] Reese Richards: Y'all can't see it. Go to YouTube. Look up Seek and Find TV. You'll be able to see this. Put your sharp teeth

[00:15:50] Scott Hinnant: on the necklace right there, bro.

[00:15:52] Scott Hinnant: Oh yeah. Look at there. I used to wear that back in the 90s. What are you trying to say, man? Nothing. Yeah, [00:16:00] that's wild, though. I'm gonna put that on a broadhead here in the morning. That's it. Am I shooting at you? Have we figured that out yet? I mean, you've shot nine times.

[00:16:07] Reese Richards: It's time for me to shoot. I mean, I self film when I hunt, so.

[00:16:10] Scott Hinnant: I do too, but I've shot once. Oh! And the one time I shot, I got backstrap in the freezer.

[00:16:18] Reese Richards: I'm really tired of even talking about, like, My situational awareness this year

[00:16:25] Scott Hinnant: What's that got to do with situational awareness

[00:16:27] Reese Richards: I don't know that the word is saying I got a bug in my shoes Them bugs are weird.

[00:16:30] Scott Hinnant: Probably got a shark tooth in

[00:16:31] Reese Richards: there This podcast is sponsored by mossy oak bottom land.

[00:16:35] Reese Richards: Hey dudes. No, it's not but I love them and they're comfy

[00:16:39] Scott Hinnant: Did you buy me something?

[00:16:40] Reese Richards: I actually got these off my off of eric Eric bought them and they're too small and I was like yo for real. I said 40 they were brand new tags on them He's like no man 50 like Eric 40 tomorrow, I'll give it to you. Alright.

[00:16:55] Reese Richards: 40 bucks.

[00:16:56] Scott Hinnant: He probably didn't get excited about it either, did he?

[00:16:59] Reese Richards: He was [00:17:00] excited that they fit me good and

[00:17:01] Scott Hinnant: that I enjoyed them. He don't get excited about much.

[00:17:05] Reese Richards: Yeah, last week we had a week and a half. Week and a half ago I was here. My wife, man, I don't even know what to say.

[00:17:14] Scott Hinnant: She's just good to you, man.

[00:17:16] Reese Richards: I don't, I don't have many words.

[00:17:18] Reese Richards: People say my wife's the greatest and all this blah blah blah, but like I don't have exact words for my wife because it's, it's just, I mean, she, uh, She's different. Yeah, there's no complaining. There's no nothing. She's all about it. Now, do I get kind of upset of how open

[00:17:37] Scott Hinnant: She's our producer, by the way, before

[00:17:39] Reese Richards: y'all So, it's kind of like She's the one that puts all this together.

[00:17:42] Reese Richards: It's kind of like this. If y'all ain't together, y'all ain't producing content for Seek and Find. And that's how she thinks of it. Um, The kids miss me and all that stuff, but I mean, we kind of make it up to them. We do a lot with the kids.

[00:17:57] Scott Hinnant: Well, you make it up, I don't make it up to them. When they come stay them with Scott, they're [00:18:00] good.

[00:18:00] Reese Richards: Yeah, I know. They get away with a lot when they see them with Scott.

[00:18:02] Scott Hinnant: Right. That's how it's going to be.

[00:18:04] Reese Richards: So, we're going to get that fire started.

[00:18:07] Scott Hinnant: Let's sit by a campfire. The whole, the whole thing is about the experience. And we got the camp life. Built this camp years ago, pretty much by myself. I did have some help, so I can't, I can't knock the help that I had.

[00:18:18] Scott Hinnant: But For the most part by myself built this thing because the good lord told me to do it for a reason for ministry reasons um Passionate pursuit ministry is going to be a place for pastors to come out. I was uh, I was thinking how am I going to minister to a broad number of people and The lord said don't don't minister to a broad number minister to two or three individuals And those pastors get to go back to their churches that have broad numbers and that it frees their mind.

[00:18:49] Scott Hinnant: It's a trickle down effect, man. God does what he does. He says sow the seed, he gives the increase. So that's kind of where this came from.

[00:18:56] Reese Richards: Where, I mean, I haven't done the research, but I mean, where are [00:19:00] there places? So you have these retreats that veterans can go, you have these retreats, which this is a place also for that, but you have these retreats for all these individuals, but where is there a place for pastors that weekly, daily?

[00:19:13] Reese Richards: What do pastors hear most of the time?

[00:19:15] Scott Hinnant: You know, most people think about pastor and they got life figured out. They're good, they're golden. But the reality of it is, is pastors are going through a hard time because they're taking on the burden of the church. They're taking on the weight of everybody. So people are calling them left and right every night.

[00:19:28] Scott Hinnant: They don't get rest because they're constantly ministering people. And so to give them some rest.

[00:19:33] Reese Richards: Mostly in a negative manner that they bring. Yeah, so it was like, let's just,

[00:19:37] Scott Hinnant: me and my brother learned that through ministry that hey man, our best, our best bet would be to minister to pastors. Let them come get some rest.

[00:19:44] Scott Hinnant: And so when they go back to their churches they're refreshed and they can pour into their congregations better because you get tired. It's just human nature. You get tired and you don't see as clear. Hopefully this will be a place where you can clear up and that's that's why that's where it was born It [00:20:00] turned into a little bit more than that, but that's where it started and God has done so much through it And uh, so blessed to have it I mean honest to goodness man.

[00:20:08] Scott Hinnant: Most of this thing's built from scrap It really is like those pallets the walls are pallets

[00:20:14] Reese Richards: and you see it But you don't see it in that manner because it's well manicured in a sense It's not you know, the cuts were cut and come on my beard, you know, it gets it gets kept up And, uh, I mean, it's,

[00:20:29] Scott Hinnant: it's definitely, it's a fun place there.

[00:20:31] Scott Hinnant: I think everybody comes here with like, look, I'd love to put everybody on the biggest buck they've ever seen. Everybody says, but

[00:20:37] Scott Hinnant: it's not the reality. But I've written

[00:20:38] Scott Hinnant: somebody and they're like, I had the best time because you're relaxed. You get to experience the presence of God in the outdoors above everything else.

[00:20:48] Scott Hinnant: And yes, some people did get lucky and kill a great deer because they're here. But. For the most part, I'd say you don't. I mean, you don't come here and kill a big deer every time. Reese has [00:21:00] been here more than three years now. Yeah. Hadn't killed a deer yet.

[00:21:04] Reese Richards: About three, three to five. Probably hadn't even seen a mature buck yet, hadn't he?

[00:21:08] Reese Richards: Three to five, six. Just that bachelor group. Maybe there is a mature buck.

[00:21:13] Scott Hinnant: I mean it, but tomorrow could be the day. I mean it could happen any moment. They're here, but the reality of it is, is.

[00:21:18] Reese Richards: You have to know that in your heart though. There's so much more. Hunting is. There's so much more, man. Heartfelt.

[00:21:23] Reese Richards: Hunting is not just coming out for a kill or a harvest like At least to us man. It is it is that heartfelt ministry mixed in with fellowship mixed in with the experience mixed in with the smells and the trees and the Walking just simply walking into those woods

[00:21:41] Scott Hinnant: matter of fact when we started this right here.

[00:21:43] Scott Hinnant: I say we my brother He and I had one kind of birthed idea of this and it was going to be passionate pursuit ministries And now my brother Alan Flint that's up in Illinois right now. He's the one that runs Passionate Pursuit. He and Jason and Bob and Mike, those are the guys, they run it. And John, there's a [00:22:00] lot of people, Mark Brown, they, they pretty much run it now.

[00:22:04] Scott Hinnant: But the reality of it is, is God has taken them and used them as vessels. But when this thing was birthed, Brian and I's vision was obviously, you know, the pastoral thing, but what it's turned into and the people that it's blessed and whole, the whole concept of it is just, it's just, it's just, it's so much bigger.

[00:22:24] Scott Hinnant: God, when you, when you, so when you actually, when you step faithfully and do what God calls you to do, he says, all right, just do what I say, I'll do the rest. And so your vision of it is like, all right, God, if you'll just do this and he goes, Oh no, you just do what I say. I'll show you something.

[00:22:39] Reese Richards: You got to take Him out of a box.

[00:22:41] Scott Hinnant: And so it's like, it's unbelievable. The amount of people that this place has blessed through that. But, um, You know all the people that run Passionate Pursuit Uh when this thing was started and this has turned into something to Seek and Find When we started Passionate Pursuit, my brother said put Seek and Find on your sleeve [00:23:00] Seek and Find wasn't even a thing yet as far as the show goes Seek and Find because that was kind of our scripture when then when Reese and I got together it was like Hey, man, we ought to show called Seek and Find because when we're in the outdoors We both have that same mindset man, we're hunting hard y'all don't get us wrong I like We're hunting hard.

[00:23:19] Scott Hinnant: We're, we're, we're doing everything that, that anybody else would do. We're, we're, we're scouting. We're, you know, we're checking our cams. We're checking scrapes. We're, we're hunting hard. We're spending the time in the woods. Uh, but the seek and find part, I guarantee you, like this hunt in particular, every hunt we go on, but it's been amazing because every single day, You know, when you see the most beautiful sunrises and you're just out there and, and the Bible says, be still and know that I'm God to me and the outdoors, when we can be still, we can be quiet.

[00:23:52] Scott Hinnant: We don't have the hustle of every day, you know, life and things going on. It's out here and you just, you don't have anything but time to sit there [00:24:00] and reflect on God's goodness. And you see his creation and you kind of see how nature works. And you just sit there and soak it up. How God's nature.

[00:24:12] Scott Hinnant: operates. You see the birds and the deer and the squirrels and all the animals and the wildlife and the leaves on the trees. I mean, it's like God created all of this. And one of the things that really sticks out to me is everything he's created, cries holy, everything. And one day, every single thing, every knee will bow, every tongue will confess, every rock will cry out, everything that he's ever created will cry, holy, holy, holy.

[00:24:38] Scott Hinnant: And I'm sitting here looking at this every day. Waking up watching sunrises and it just gives me chills thinking There's gonna be a day That every knee will bow Satan himself will be bowed down before the king of key. I can't whoo. Just give me chills I'm talking about like holy. Can you imagine our enemy sitting there going?

[00:24:58] Scott Hinnant: You're holy You're holy [00:25:00] it's gonna happen. It's gonna happen.

[00:25:02] Reese Richards: You have to think you have to think about all that too like

[00:25:05] Reese Richards: Nature, when I see it, I get it. God, there, there's only one reason and that's God. And then you look at everything else and that's where folks Start to chime in and it's like well, what about this? What about that? well, God didn't create my million dollar company that I slaved for and now I'm a billionaire and it's like Well, technically, yes, he did.

[00:25:27] Reese Richards: I mean really but I guess not if you're not a faith driven Godly man So we could take that out of the podcast but um, Scott didn't chime in so I knew I was wrong there I didn't say you were wrong at all. It's not that I'm wrong, it's that I've realized what I'm saying. I'm, listen, I'm just listening to what you're saying and I, I guess you could say I want it to be that way and, and I, I guess I could pray that everybody's everybody's that way, but I just don't race it.

[00:25:57] Reese Richards: I don't know.

[00:25:58] Scott Hinnant: You know, I [00:26:00] just don't, I gotta itch. Are you itching? Nope. I just won't. I just won't reach it. It don't even have to be that big. I just.

[00:26:12] Reese Richards: Are we grabbing horns now? I mean Let me grab your son's Okay, this is

[00:26:18] Scott Hinnant: That's Little G. Oh, Little G? You getting Little G? The main thing is that God is good, and he's in every step of what we do.

[00:26:25] Scott Hinnant: He's in every step of creation, and so going up

[00:26:29] Reese Richards: Holy smoke. Actually, that ain't That ain't too far off. I know. That's actually thicker.

[00:26:34] Scott Hinnant: That's Little G. Little G ain't playing. That's a Mississippi

[00:26:39] Reese Richards: white tail. If y'all saw the uh, The trail cam pictures of this buck and you see me holding it. You would be like Golly, if I saw that on trail cam, I think I got a 190 on my camera But anyway what I was saying, I guess is how I hope and [00:27:00] Hope it would be but it's not that way and the bible doesn't doesn't speak of it that way, unfortunately Um, and I realized that as I was saying it, but and Scott didn't chime in purposely because of that reason, but uh,

[00:27:13] Scott Hinnant: I don't want to interrupt you.

[00:27:16] Reese Richards: No, it's not interrupting. It's just I know you chime in at the right times And you didn't chime in and you're listening You're like i'm curious how far he's going to go with this, but I think that's where my heart is like my heart My heart wants everybody to be That Godly person and that's where my mind thinks it is.

[00:27:33] Reese Richards: But in all reality You If you don't call upon the Lord to come in your heart and save you a place in heaven and ask Him into your heart and work on your life then you're not.

[00:27:55] Reese Richards: So if that doctor isn't a child of God and he isn't, [00:28:00] didn't ask the Lord into his heart then is he technically doing his work in God's hands? That would be no, right? What do you think?

[00:28:13] Scott Hinnant: God is sovereign. That's what I think. God used bad people in the Bible to do good things. True. He changed them, but he did.

[00:28:22] Reese Richards: Prayer. Heartfelt prayer. About that doctor. God could come into that doctor's life to do those things. God can do anything.

[00:28:32] Scott Hinnant: God is Lord over all. When you think bad, you think unGodly. Well it is, but God is Lord over all. He can command anything to happen. Any evil army, any heavenly army. He's Lord over all.

[00:28:44] Reese Richards: So that clears up my mind, and I thought I was somewhat knowledgeable. But, I stopped myself, and I think this is a turning point for that. Because I think other people need to hear this.

[00:28:54] Scott Hinnant: Um, God's in control, son. For real.

[00:28:58] Reese Richards: See man, I do say [00:29:00] everybody is a child of God. God created everybody.

[00:29:04] Scott Hinnant: But you have to have faith and believe you have to accept him as your father your heavenly father You have to believe that jesus did what he did and that he was real wasn't a story made up

[00:29:12] Reese Richards: So this is a question to me.

[00:29:14] Reese Richards: I've never thought it really happened. Do you believe it? So I thought this myself

[00:29:18] Reese Richards: just being trusting So

[00:29:27] Scott Hinnant: Oh, yeah, are you getting deep? I mean, I I think I am but

[00:29:33] Reese Richards: God created everybody God created everything He was the beginning and the end. So are you a child of God? If you never asked God into your heart, and if the answer is no, then who are you? I know a lost soul, but

[00:29:49] Scott Hinnant: He created you. So He created you. He knew you in your mother's womb.

[00:29:54] Reese Richards: But if God isn't in your heart, then what are you to Him in a sense?

[00:29:58] Scott Hinnant: You're just a lost child. [00:30:00] You're a lost sheep.

[00:30:01] Reese Richards: And that's why it says, save the lost. That's why it's called the lost.

[00:30:04] Scott Hinnant: But it also says that he'll leave the 99 and go after the 1. Right. If that, if that one person.

[00:30:08] Reese Richards: That one person just stopped everything and just cried out to God.

[00:30:12] Scott Hinnant: That's the goodness of God. God is sitting there every single second, waiting on that lost sheep to go, I see you. And I need you. And he goes, I'm on it. That's what I've been waiting on. I've been, I've been putting this in front of you. I mean, God is sovereign. Yeah. Bad things happen to good people. Bad things happen to bad people.

[00:30:29] Scott Hinnant: Good things happen to bad people. Vice versa. It's, it's not about that. It's about, do you recognize that you're not an accident? Do you recognize that you're not some coincidence and that this life is meaningless? Do you believe that it's more than that? And if you do, then you believe in God. You believe in Jesus, the son of God, because

[00:30:50] Scott Hinnant: I'm gonna be honest with you, man. The whole evolution, the theory, this stuff, to me, that's all coincidence. It's accidents. I got no purpose If that's the case, right? Where do our [00:31:00] morals come from? Yeah. In evolution, did we just become good people? Because evolution created us good? No, we're not good people.

[00:31:06] Scott Hinnant: We had God who gave us our morals by the law and then showed us how to be, and that's why we all,

[00:31:11] Reese Richards: we're not, we're not good people. That's thing. We're definitely created by God. I mean, that's, that's why I Quet. Question that what my questions are is the deep what I just got into the deepness are my question.

[00:31:26] Reese Richards: I guess Have to have faith in the son of God, that's the fact I can look at everything around me and 100 Believe in God. I can look at humans. I can look at the eyeball I can look at a snowflake in a microscope. I can look at animals. I can look at everything and 100 believe that God is 100 my savior.

[00:31:45] Reese Richards: It's those I guess those questions that i've never thought of That I've realized I've spoke to a lot of people and been like, you know, we You everybody's a child of God and that's I think just in that moment of us recording [00:32:00] this I think I kind of

[00:32:01] Scott Hinnant: that question about that could be a child of God.

[00:32:03] Scott Hinnant: Everybody was created by God

[00:32:05] Reese Richards: I guess what I mean when I say that is when I say that is you were created by God But I think I need to clear it up because if there is that lost if there is that person that has never heard of God Me speaking in that sense, they wouldn't understand what I'm saying.

[00:32:22] Reese Richards: Alright. Well like, wait, he just said, I'm a child of God. What does that mean?

[00:32:25] Scott Hinnant: Well, lemme ask you this. Mm-Hmm. was the devil created by God? A hundred percent. Was he the devil when he created him? No, he wasn't. He wasn't? Mm-Hmm. . But he became the devil, right?

[00:32:39] Reese Richards: He created all of us. And when

[00:32:41] Scott Hinnant: we grew up is when we started, well, not necessarily his.

[00:32:43] Scott Hinnant: Until we seek him, we seek his place. So

[00:32:46] Reese Richards: he created us. But we're not his until we ask him into our heart. That's

[00:32:50] Scott Hinnant: the whole free will thing. Because if we, if he made us do it, then what would it be?

[00:32:55] Reese Richards: Faith, hope, all that stuff. It's about us choosing. We have to make a choice. And [00:33:00] that's why I brought it up.

[00:33:01] Reese Richards: Not accidentally. I don't believe in accidents either. I think that was part of it. I think if I just learned something, cleared something up, I guess, in my mind, I feel somebody else would have.

[00:33:14] Scott Hinnant: The most clear thing that you need to know. And you already know it, but everybody else is that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

[00:33:21] Scott Hinnant: And there is no way to the Father but through him. I don't care how good you are, how, whatever you do, how

[00:33:28] Reese Richards: Oh, he's a good person, he's going to heaven. Mmm, we're not, nobody's good people.

[00:33:32] Scott Hinnant: He's the way, the truth, and the life. And without Jesus, his blood sacrificed for our, uh, sins, and he sanctified us through that, and, and gave us hope, and, and, you know, the veil was torn, the whole, The whole thing about us having a hope, a living hope is through Jesus.

[00:33:49] Scott Hinnant: And if you don't know him, I challenge you to know him. Not because we're not,

[00:33:55] Reese Richards: I'm just telling you about your eternity.

[00:33:57] Scott Hinnant: I dare you to know him. I dare [00:34:00] you to know him. You fall in love so fast. His presence is so real, man. That's what seeking finds all about. We're out here hunting our tails off. Trying to get content ain't even upset about the fact that we don't have a buck because you know what?

[00:34:13] Scott Hinnant: We've experienced God in every single day that we've been out there. We've laughed. We've loved we've we've

[00:34:17] Reese Richards: God set that spot up tonight Oh, that's we showed you a little bit of it But we our cameras were kind of dying and we wanted a harvest on cameras.

[00:34:24] Scott Hinnant: Holy Spirit said climb that tree Yeah, it wasn't really climbing more of a walk.

[00:34:27] Reese Richards: What's 40 feet up? But he had our back. We didn't have a harness. I mean, it's pretty dang dangerous

[00:34:34] Scott Hinnant: I mean, you don't feel like you need a harness when you go five feet. I'm bringing my saddle mark You I quit rodeoing, man. I don't need a saddle no more. I quit all them bronco bulls and horses and stuff.

[00:34:44] Scott Hinnant: That hurt my back. I gave you that. Well, let's go, uh, Sit by a fire. Sit by a fire. Ow. That's a bad hand. Why'd

[00:34:55] Reese Richards: you smack my butt? I'm just kidding. Y'all listening on the audio is gonna be like, what? [00:35:00] Anyways, I love y'all. SeekandFindTV on YouTube. SeekandFindTV on CarbonTV. This is the Bearded Outtdoors podcast with Reese Richards and Scott Hinnant We're gonna get some stews start that fire up sit by it for a little bit.

So we got oh tomorrow's daylight savings time That means we have to set these clocks different We're gonna do we're either gonna be in the stand two hours early We're gonna be in the stand an hour late. We have to

[00:35:38] Reese Richards: nevermind, we in new times.

[00:35:40] Reese Richards: Alright y'all, love you.

[00:35:42] Reese Richards: Peace.
